Kayaking on the Big Island

Kona Kayak Rental Spots

Kayaking Kona’s waters in exhilarating.

A VIEW FROM THE SEA

There are so many places to go paddling on the Big Island of Hawaii that it’s hard to choose. That’s where our expertise comes in. There are places in Kona that everybody goes, and there are places we think everybody should go. It all depends on what kind of a day you want to spend and what you would like to see.

Speaking of sites, we can help you find sea turtles, dolphins, exotic reef dwellers and even little seen monuments from the past. Here’s a couple of our favorite spots:

Keauhou Bay, birthplace of the famed King Kamehameha III, is an ideal place to snorkel, kayak, stand up paddle or even try the Hawaiian sport of Outrigger Canoeing.

Kealakekua Bay, home of the famed Captain Cook Monument, is a premier snorkeling, kayaking and stand up paddling spot in South Kona. It is the only underwater state park on Hawaii’s Big Island.
